Maybe one of my goals should have been to join the technology age and get (gasp!) a digital camera. I still need to buy real honest to goodness film for mine! O_o
I will probably have to since one goal is to document a day in the life of me!!! Maybe I can borrow someone's camera for the day...
#3. So I went to the gym once last week, but so far this week I've gone twice!!! I have two more days off this week so that will make four. If I get to bed early enough Friday night (ha!) and hence, can wake up early Saturday morning (double ha!) maybe I can do some pilates for like 30 minutes before I have to go to *sigh* work. Highly doubt I'll be able to do that Sunday or Monday morning with the way my luck's been running at that place-I almost never get out on time.

#6. I've been taking a multivitamin and omega supplement everyday since last Friday, so that's what-6 days!!!

Things and stuff

#32

#47

I thought now would be a good time to do a little update on all the "once a..." items on my list. I'm technically working on many different things on my list simultaneously but because they are things I said I should do once a week I can't officially cross them off my list! This is a list-maker's worst nightmare. However, I hope that making myself do a lot of these things once a week (or once a month, or even daily) will help them become routine in my life. And I suppose the benefits that a routine shall bring will all be worth it.

Things:

*Using my very own coffee mug at work for coffee and tea (#32) (though I haven't been using a reusable water bottle...yet! This is because the one I have and was planning to use smelled a little funky. Do you know how hard it is to thoroughly clean a bottle with an opening that's only like 1/2 inch wide?? So yeah, once I get the proper cleaning tools I will be using a reusable bottle for water as well).

*Taking a multi-vitamin daily (#47) (okay, I missed a day, but all in all I've been doing very well!) And once I find where I stashed my bottle of calcium supplement I will be taking that as well!

*I checked my oil on Sunday (#99) (which I suppose is technically considered THIS week, but hey, I did it...and good thing I did, too, because that stupid $20 additive that the guy at EZ Lube convinced me to buy in an attempt to stop my oil from being used up so fast didn't work...boo!)

Stuff:

*I don't think I technically initiated a conversation with someone new (#72) though I had lots of them. Hmmm, that's something I'll have to work on. I hate being shy!

*I've been to the store a bunch of times but each time I forget to bring in my reusable bags (#33). I think I'm going to have make a little reminder to put on my steering wheel or somewhere else just as noticeable so I'll remember next time! I do reuse the plastic bags I get for doggie duty, but it's just not the same.

Stay tuned for more adventures, coming to a monitor near you!

Progress!

Okay, so I know it was only one time (so far!) but I went to the gym last night! This is one huge step toward completing #45 on my list: go to the gym 3 times a week, every week. I have no clue when the last time I went was, but if I had to guess I'd say sometime in late October, possibly early November. Embarrassing! You know it's been waaay too long when you forget which exit to take on the freeway...and then, upon realizing you took the wrong exit, proceed to turn left (which happens to be going in the opposite direction of the gym). 'Cause yeah, that's what happened to me last night. But I did not let this deter me, oh no! Even driving around to find a parking space for 10 minute did not turn me away. That's right L.A. Fitness, I'm back...no more free money from me!

One down, 100 to go!

I completed my very first task today. Yay for #50!

For those of you not looking at the list, # 50 entailed putting together a quick reference guide of the hospital, animal hospital, and police station nearest to my apartment. It's kinda scary to think that I've lived in my apartment for 6 months already and wouldn't have known where to go if I fell down the stairs and broke my arm (which I've kind of secretly always wanted to do...casts are cool!)...or if Ally was choking on a hairball at midnight and couldn't breathe. I mean, I've gone along well enough without one until now. But now that I have it I feel very, very secure(which probably means something really bad will happen tonight-maybe a cast is in my future? ;-)).

But alas, I am now prepared!

I will be putting a copy in the glove compartment of my car, as well as posting one on the refrigerator and entering the info into my cell (if that's even possible, considering its ancient-ness).

On to conquer some more things on the list!

Until next time,
M
